Important note: A very small number of trailers couplers are installed with extra long bolts attaching coupler to trailer tongue. Since Trailer GatorTM must fully close around coupler, it may be necessary for you to install the proper size coupler bolts. We suggest that you install bolts that protrude just enough to fasten the nut. This is the bolt and nut that attaches coupler to trailer tongue.
